How long you have been a member at CrossFit Hurstville? A little over 2 years
What motivates you to get to the gym everyday? The improvements. After many months of passively attending the gym, I decided to commit to 5 days a week and actively measuring my performance and results. I love being able to do the movements that I previously couldn’t.
What are your current training goals? Generally, I want to improve all round. But specifically I had some goals that I wanted to kick off. There was DU’s, which I can now do. There are handstand push ups, which today I did my first set of kipping handstand push ups. This is a massive win for me. Next goal is continuous toes to bar and sometime way in the future, its training with my shirt off!!!!!
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement? I love all the Olympic lifting movements, but specifically snatches. When I started at CFH, I couldn’t even do an overhead squat, but now I can do full snatches.
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement? Tough one. Generally I struggle with all conditioning exercises, especially with calorie targets. But I think I dislike the assault bike the most (and I used to cycle!!).
What has contributed to your success in the last month? Really, all the coaches. Each one has given me a little nugget of advice or time that has contributed massively to me kicking my goals.
In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience? The culture of CFH is what most organisation aspire to achieve, and everyone involved in CFH should be proud of whats been created. I look forward to every session, enjoy the program and facilities provided and enjoy the people I train with.
