How long have you been into Crossfit?

I started at Crossfit Hurstville in April this year

What made you start Crossfit?

I won a month free voucher at a local Upball tournament J so started coming along

Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement?

I don’t think I would really call any of them my favourites! But if I had to pick I would say deadlifts and box jumps are ok, rope climbs are close to being fun and the running is fine, unless it is a 400m hill climb.

Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement?

Oh there are so many! Wall balls and snatches are the worst, followed closely by burpees, thrusters and anything with the word “heavy” at the start. And 400m hill climbs. As you can see I whinge most mornings when I see the WOD.

Biggest achievement in crossfit to date?

Probably my 105kg deadlift! And the two times I have gotten to ring the bell, for pullups and handstand pushups (kipping of course)

Most embarrassing or funny moment in CrossFit? 

The many times I have hit my shins on the boxes are always embarrassing but the worst was hitting myself in the jaw with 30kg while doing thrusters.  I bit my tongue and cheek so hard that they started bleeding and were then so swollen I couldn’t speak properly for days, including at a school parent teacher night.

What has contributed to your success in the last month?

The amazing coaches and also the support of everyone who trains at Crossfit Hurstville, as well as the fun competitiveness.

In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience?

Crossfit Hurstville is an amazing place to train! You are pushed hard, encouraged and carefully coached to ensure you are getting the most out of the sessions in a safe way.  Everyone at the gym supports each other and I have made some great friends. I have learnt so much from Ali and Paul and have come to love Crossfit. 50 words is not enough to say all the wonderful things about Crossfit Hurstville!

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
