How long you have been a member at CrossFit Hurstville? 6 Months
What motivates you to get to the gym everyday?
Definitely the goals I set for myself, I’ve learned nothing in Crossfit comes without copious amounts of hard work, and seeing how hard other members and coaches in particular have worked to get to where they are at motivates me to continue to work hard. This in conjunction with seeing the progress I have made over the last few months motivates me to continue to strive toward my goals.
What are your current training goals?
Butterfly pull ups, 110KG Clean, handstand walks and to improve my mental game and willingness to hold on in metcon/comp style workouts
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement?
All squats, cleans and Partner WODs
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement?
Wall Walks and Farmers Carries
What has contributed to your success in the last month?
First and foremost the flexibility and adaptability of PK and the team at CFH. No matter what restrictions have been thrown at them, they continue to find a way to allow us to have access to everything we need to train, and in an environment where it would’ve been far easier to close, they continue to find ways to allow us to better ourselves. This would be closely followed by my training partners, who make training day in day out so enjoyable and keep me accountable no matter the workout.
In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience?
I joined CFH originally to get stronger and fitter over my offseason, however soon after I realised I was actually enjoying Crossfit more than I was any other training I was doing. This is almost solely because of the community at CFH and the endless support we all receive from the coaches. I absolutely love getting in the gym everyday with people I now consider good friends, and the program always keeps you on your toes and engaged. In my opinion, you could not ask for anything more in a Crossfit gym, and I certainly see no end in sight to my time here.
