How long you have been a member at CrossFit Hurstville? Just ticked over one year!
What motivates you to get to the gym everyday? The workouts, the people, the coaches, and occasionally the dogs. The variety in the workouts is one thing I love about CFH. Going to sessions alongside other motivated and strong people makes me work harder than I would solo. I love having the coaches there to work with me, helping me to make sure I perfect my technique, and making sure I don’t go too easy.
What are your current training goals? Being consistent and increasing running sessions between gym sessions. Improving self-care: making sure I go to the physio is there’s an issue with something, getting a massage when I need to relax, working on nutrition.
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement? Handstand push ups and pull ups. Anytime I see a session that has those movements I try to prioritise being there so I can work on them. They’re new movements to me and I enjoy the challenge.
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement? Assault bike and wall balls.
What has contributed to your success in the last month? Consistent training of similar movements. Having a team event to work towards. The support of the coaches and friends (and of course my beaches).
In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience? I had never been part of a gym before, and I feel that no other gym could live up to CFH. It’s somewhat filled a hole in my life that I didn’t realise I had. It’s allowed me to push myself to my absolute limit…then push a little more.
