How long you have been a member at CrossFit Hurstville? 3 years next month!
What motivates you to get to the gym everyday? A few years ago, a wrist injury stopped me in my tracks, and I swore I’d never let that happen again that I’d build my muscles into a coat of armour to protect my joints. I never imagined how much good could come from an injury. It is a little ironic at the moment since gyms are all closed, but online training and support from the coaches and members has been so great in helping to keep the routine of gym in the evenings even when everything else is mixed up.
What are your current training goals? Consistency in training, maintaining strength best I can in a limited home set up and improving bodyweight exercises.
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement? Dumbbell Snatch
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement? Burpees and running for sure
What has contributed to your success in the last month? The people at CFH and the flexibility of gym programming and coaching to support online training. Even though everyone is distanced and doing their own thing, still getting to check-in and message with people I’d normally see every week has been great.
In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience? CFH has filled a space in my life after growing up playing team sports that I didn’t know I was missing. The community is so supportive of each other which makes it easy to show up every day, train hard and learn new things.
