Sports you played growing up? Basketball and Dragon Boating.
How did you come across CrossFit and how long have you been doing it? My high school friend was doing the Opens in 2013, I went to watch a workout and decided to try CrossFit shortly after. I stopped when my first son was born in 2014. Moved to Mortdale in 2016 and by 2017 I found myself struggling to run 5km, which prompted my 2018 new year’s resolution to get fit and have been doing CrossFit since.
What do you like most about CrossFit? Training with people – it’s enjoyable and you get a lot done.
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement? Weightlifting, loving the challenge.
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement? Bike, Row and Ski.
Biggest achievement in CrossFit to date? Getting rid of most the aches and pains from sitting in front of a computer all day: hips, lower back and shoulders.
What has contributed to your success in the last month? The people, they make it so easy for me to consistently turn up each morning.
In 50 words or less describe your CrossFit Hurstville Experience? The people are amazing. Paul and the 5.30am coaches are very knowledgeable, consistently provide feedback, guidance and encouragement to me for improvement. The members provide a comfortable environment that allows me to push myself, fail/succeed and ultimately improve. CFH has a proactive approach to improvement, which is very inspiring.
