What is fitness? Define it. What is important? What is better?
No two definitions will be the same. That’s the point.
Fitness is relative. It’s subject to context and environment.
The broadest definition is such: “fit for purpose”.
Another question: What is the purpose? Define it.
Purpose in what context? In what environment?
The third question: What do I want? Define it. Be clear.
Do you really want it? Or are you filling someone else’s pocket?
In defining what you want, you acknowledge your deficiency at present. Be dissatisfied. What will you do about it?
Make a plan. Be accountable. Seek teachers. Learn.
Establish the objective. This is fitness. This is your standard. Rise to meet it. Hold yourself to it.
Recognise the need to change. When is the standard no longer necessary? When does it hold you back?
Change before you succumb to irrelevancy. Or complacency.
Stay open. But remain committed. Listen and think.
Show up and work. How much is too much? What do I need today?
Your practice is limited by your creativity. Experiment and experience. Speculate and solve.
You won’t arrive. But that’s not the point.
This is a conversation.
