Sports you played growing up? Basketball mainly, but I had a crack at most common public school sports.
How did you come across CrossFit and how long have you been doing it? I was pretty into running, but after a knee injury, I started CrossFit to focus on building some strength and get my knee back on track. It’s been about a year now and I like the way I’m being challenged differently than I have been before.
What do you like most about CrossFit? I love the challenge and variety of the movements, I love the community vibe, I really enjoy having a coach planning my exercise for me.
Favourite Exercise/Crossfit movement? Hmm, can’t say I’m always excited to see them in a workout, but I’ve discovered my strengths are on the assault bike, rower and double-unders!
Least favourite exercise/Crossfit movement? Toes to Bar
Biggest achievement in CrossFit to date? Body weight chin-ups
What has contributed to your success in the last month? I increased protein in my diet and found it improved my energy levels dramatically. I lost a couple of kilos and that made everything a little bit easier, also I felt really encouraged to be part of a great team during the challenge.
